Week 1: Lecture Visualization
Consuming the earth. Just where do we draw the line?
Evidently our consumption today has affected mother nature’s health. But do we really need to consume the way we do? Do we consume luxuriously, unknowingly indulging without concern? Are we caring for the soil we reap our comforts or do away?
Designer’s role?
Surely everyone can make a difference. But how does an entire industry brace a needed change in the century starting with individuals from all different sectors looking personally in to not only their consumption but also the reflection of their practice, exemplary to the code in which a society lives in. Sustainability is not a means to an end but a journey. The more the merrier.
Week 2: Lecture Visualization
Globalization Vs Sustainability
It’s pretty dense to witness the amounts of fossil fuel we consume in our everyday practices. However there is constant wonder that we may actually be paying the price of Globalization with our earth.
Power of one
Often there is the myth that as an individual one makes not much of a difference. If a person is like a drop of water in the ocean does one person really make a difference? It is that very drop of water that makes up part of that ocean, that very drop ripples throughout the ocean. Now does a person make a difference?
A Collective Voice, a Driven action.
Voice need to be heard. A platform in which voices of similar mindsets drives a positive action forward as which most revolutionary thoughts are built on people action. The dynamics in which voices pit in to positive action is an environment that these growing voices nurture the results intended to achieve through action. Similarly the journey of sustainability is a journey leading to a revolution.
